ive seen the video. he sucker punched her and knocked her out.
the police and da had the video.
why was someone that violent allowed to enter a diversion program that could lead to the arrest being expunged from his record.

we all know if he wasnt a football hero that wouldnt have happened.

....regardless, the reason he didn't get charged was affluenza and influence....if that had been any other black couple, I think that the end result would have been radically different...

.

And find something productive to do, work in the community, read to kids, visit the elderly.

Most of us live in places with civic organizations that are committed to public service.

Fuck the NFL. If it wasn't for the fans, this asshole wouldn't have gotten away with it.

Never mind the fact that who in the hell would press charges against their partner? This is why many jurisdictions are taking it out of the hands of the partner being abused. If there is evidence that a person is being abused by their partner, then the police need to see it as a crime against the community, because it does affect everybody.

his being a NFL player is the only reason he came to any grief at all.

Edit.... to clarify... I mean his only punishment came via losing his lucrative job and having this out there in the media. A whole lot of men don't ever suffer the loss of their job or any stigma at all.

First-time offenders were allowed into a diversion program of heavy counseling and anger management instead of prison.

Rice was one of them.

It's as if football players and celebrities live on another planet. Jerry Sandusky went unpunished for decades despite that he committed and continued to commit one of the most horrific crimes known to man. What Ray Rice did was extremely horrible and he went unpunished until yesterday. He just got a slap on the wrist. Our justice system needs some major overhaul.
