Adrian Peterson Previously Accused of Abuse
It is being reported that last June the mother of another one of Adrian Peterson's sons filed a report with Child Protective Services. The son in that incident was also 4 years old. In text messages between Peterson and the child's mother, the mother asked how the child ended up with a bruise on his forehead. Peterson claimed the child hit his head on the car seat while the child was being spanked in the back seat of Peterson's vehicle. Peterson claimed the boy was being spanked because he had cursed at a sibling. In that incident, like the current incident, Peterson claimed he felt bad about what had happened to the child. Peterson went on to say the boy brought the spanking and the bruise on himself. Peterson wrote the boy should have just stayed still and taken the spanking and he would not have gotten the bruise on his head. Peterson then said the son was alright.
As mention earlier the child's mother did make a complaint to Child Protective Services, but charges were not filed. Child Protective Services is saying that due to privacy laws they will not discuss the case.
