Hillary Clinton: The Internet’s new queen of cool

The Internet is abuzz with Hillary Clinton this week.

It started with “Texts from Hillary,” a Tumblr depicting imagined text-message conversations between the secretary of state and various public figures. Then came her description of the mood in the Situation Room during the raid that took down Osama bin Laden. In the blogosphere, predictions began rolling in about whether she could run for president in 2016.

Clinton — at least on the Internet — has this week transformed herself from a seemingly icily aloof stateswoman to an icy cool one.

In large part, this metamorphosis stems from the glamorous black-and-white photo used on Texts from Hillary, which shows the secretary on a military plane coolly texting on her blackberry while sporting giant dark sunglasses.

In a piece titled State of cool?, the New York Times’ Maureen Dowd quotes author Raymond Chandler to describe Clinton in the photo: “as inconspicuous as a tarantula on a slice of angel food.”

We all know we will need to vote fo0r her in 2016, yadda yadda.
I just hope she goes to the left of her husband, or even Obama, but since she helped invent "triangulation" that will not happen.
