[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]After all, there are plenty of Jewish delis in NYC, and Presbyterians also deserve recognition for their uniquely rich culture when it comes to food ... oh, wait....

on white bread.

Just joking. I see there are several of them in NYC (Washington Hgts, too). Maybe named for NY-Presbyterian hospitals? Is there one nearby?

The main ( presumably original ) Columbia-Presbyterian is a few blocks away.

But I was waiting for a friend across the street from the deli and couldn't quite connect the two.

Friend appeared and put an end to the mystery.

it seems like a great deli/bodega.

And it's close to Columbia Presbyterian, possibly hence the name.

is to get a great house cured pastrami or corned beef on rye with a schmear of brown mustard, with cole slaw and potato salad on the side.

And I am not even Jewish.

Now I have made myself hungry.
