Though alcohol was my best friend. Quit 30 years ago. SO lucky to have avoided jail and hold down a full-time job - a good one. I was convinced I would never have fun again. Wrong.

I never really quit, but except for last year have been able to count on my fingers how much I drink each year for quite a while. Mostly because I can't stand being around drunks, and hating to drink alone - a terrible dilemma for an ocd case! Things that are truly fun are fun on their own merit.
