You may have read that Republicans killed the bill that would have allowed refinancing student loans at today’s lower rates. If I had student loans, this would make me crazy. But there is a really simple solution.
Want your student loan payment slashed? JUST VOTE! . . . Democrat, November 4, because the Republicans in Congress are all that stand in the way of this being done.
Want to boost the economy with a 40% raise hike for those who make minimum wage? JUST VOTE! . . . Democrat, November 4, because the Republicans in Congress are all that stand in the way.
Want the bipartisan Senate immigration bill signed into law and boost the economy? JUST VOTE! . . . Democrat, November 4, because the Republicans in Congress are all that stand in the way.
Want to boost the economy by repairing America’s crumbling infrastructure? JUST VOTE! . . . Democrat, November 4, because the Republicans in Congress are all that stand in the way.
Want to enact the universal background checks that even 74% of NRA members favor? JUST VOTE! . . . Democrat, November 4, because the Republicans in Congress are all that stand in the way.

The Republicans currently serving in Congress pride themselves on being unwilling to compromise. Want to break the gridlock and get America moving again? Just take a couple of hours and vote.

Then do the other things you like doing. For me it's mainly personal and local and away from the keyboard. Get five friends to vote too.
I vote for the most progressive candidate available on the ballot in every election - primaries and general - Local, State and Federal.
Know your rights. Use them or lose them!
Think about it. Use the above list to strike up conversation in the elevator, waiting for a plane, waiting for your car to go thru the car-wash, waiting in the Dr's office waiting room, in line at the DMV tell everyone to register to vote as they get their drivers licenses, in line at the theater, the cab driver, the maid, cocktail parties, cashier clerks, waiters/waitresses, Postal Clerks, the pool cleaner, anyone who comes to your door like those fundamentalist evangelicals.
Hell, if you're on the shy side, just get out the yellow pages and start calling businesses and ask the receptionist to please remember to register and vote.
Change your voice mail on your cell phone, iphones & land lines to a reminder the caller to register and vote, then don't answer your calls but return their call.
There's only about 5 weeks left now. The registration deadlines are getting ready to hit! We need new voters desperately. Seek out new voters and tell them when the registration deadline is in your area. Offer to drive them to the election board tomorrow to get registered.
Have 500 cheap calling cards printed up with the pertinent registration info for your area, with address & phone number and hours of election board office. Then get out and knock on doors!
Call the election board office yourself and see if you can pick up some registration forms. If they say yes, then go get a pile of them. This weekend, post signs "REGISTER TO VOTE" on utility poles leading to your driveway! Throw up a pop-up canopy, drag out a table and some chairs & a good book to read.
