victim blaming again

http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/24/justice/woman-blamed-for-her-rape/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

...and it isn't even like she was "asking for it that way she was dressed". All she was doing was showing up for her job, which she continued to do even after someone, in their infinite wisdom, decided to move her office to a place that was not separated from the prisoners (why such a place exists in a prison is beyond my comprehension).

If she had quit Republicans would probably say it is just because she is lazy and wants a handout.

Is there any way women can "win"? I hope word gets out about this and the women on Pennsylvania start protesting to demand the AG resign.

there is no way a woman can win body autonomy. A woman now contributes to her own rape by showing up to work.

Even though Best was convicted of the rape in May and a review of the prison found multiple failings and led to the superintendent's removal, a senior deputy attorney general wrote that the woman "acted in a manner which in whole or in part contributed to the events

The very idea that someone thought this is a valid defense is appalling.

If it is done to a 14 year old girl, they will do it to an adult woman.

I just reread my OP and it sounds like in the first sentence that I'm saying that the way someone dresses is a "legitimate excuse". That's not what I'm saying. To clarify I mean that the "typical excuse" used by those that want to excuse assault doesn't even apply in this case so they can't even "play that card" but they still will find any reason to blame the victim anyway, even if her "mistake" is just showing up for work.

Just wanted to clarify that... carry on!
