The media is comprised of mostly yapping incompetents...

They are not qualified to do their jobs.

Their job is to know the facts and to educate and inform the public. They are not educated enough on the subject matters to inform anyone.

They believe that if they put a Democrat on the air and let them give their spiel and then they let the Republican give their spiel, then they have offered balanced coverage. If one side is lying and one side is being honest, how are the people to know which side is being dishonest if the media does not report it? Most people will believe the person that belongs to the same Party as they, even though they may be lying thru their teeth...

The media has a responsibility to fill in the facts where they may be needed to assist the public in understanding the issues. Simply fair and balanced in time given to each side does nothing to promote the truth. In my opinion, the press and the media need to do much more. Unfortunately, many of them are ill-equipped to inform the nation. They are TV stars more than anything else...

You can follow shows and individual reporters all the time or only when there is a big story up. And not only in the US but all over the world.

You are exactly right, the media has completely abandoned it's role as government watchdog and is now a government and corporate propaganda lapdog. They could care less about facts and only present information to illicit an emotional response, not to elicit rational thinking.

When people realize they're being manipulated instead of informed a lot of the media-produced "issues" they think exist just disappear because those fake "issues" are just that, fake. Then and only then can any real discussion occur about what's really going on.
