GOP is repeating the tactic they used on Benghazi - they all KNEW Benghazi was a covert CIA operation under the direction of Gen. Petraeus, and that there would be much that could never be said publicly, so they ran with a completely partisan narrative (lie) blaming WH and State Dept, and the lazy minded and corrupt corpmedia let them get away with it.

Plenty of the DEMs are also openly taking shots at her.

Well deserved shots.

She's awful.

She is trying to excuse this mess.

In the meantime, our First Family is in grave danger.

Sorry, I don't CARE who is attacking her. The attacks are well deserved.

State Dept officials. GOP committee knew this when they called for this public hearing. Their 'performance' is overthetop and apparently without any limits, especially given what they know about the limits the director is under.

With Benghazi they make it all about the State Dept and the WH, knowing full well that they will not reveal the delicate issues surrounding the reality - that it was a covert CIA operation under the direction of Gen. Petraeus.

BTW - Has our GOP congress called for a hearing to address the growing problem of TeaParty Terrorists targeting law enforcement and that likely led to the attacks on the WH? No - because they know they are the ones ENCOURAGING the far right's lawlessness and bunker mentality.

I am not buying their 'performance' today. Your mileage may vary.

Steven Horsford said it all..........

"You, Madam, have failed the President of the United States."

He's a DEM.

THAT is the only point that matters.

You are welcome to point out where I said no oversight should occur. I am being realistic about WHY she cannot answer many of the questions posed. The committee members know this, but, they are relying on a tactic they have well-developed, by now.

It is the style the GOP committee is relying on that is BULLSHIT and apparent.

Why you want to defend their tactic and attack me for noticing their game is bullshit, imo.

you want to make this partisan and it's NOT.

It's that simple.

The safety of those little girls is not partisan. The safety of our President and First Lady is non partisan.

Your attempt to inject partisanship into it is as ugly and demeaning as the republicans.

new rules for Secret Service that state the head of SS has to publicly answer every committee member question. Until then, the reticence of the head of SS on display in this PUBLIC hearing, is MANDATORY.

Let me know when they pass that rule for CIA and State Dept, too, then I'll know that GOP congressmen aren't just using this committee to create partisan narratives like they did with Benghazi and IRS.

LOLOL - Yeah - How DARE someone view Issa and Chaffetz' performance on this committee as partisan.

I can guarantee 100% that MY concern for the safety of the president and his family is constant and genuine and that Issa and Chaffetz' concern today is 100% bullshit.

You can criticize the Secret Service for allowing someone to run across the White House lawn, enter through an unlocked door and get a significant distance into the White House, and nobody will accuse you of being a Republican troll.

this was waaaaaaaaaay too close for comfort.

If we're not truly concerned that the safety of those little girls was compromised, not to mention the President and First Lady, then we're simply too partisan.

The outrage over this situation is NOT PARTISAN.

far into the White House he got? That right there questions her credibility and competence. If your first instinct is to lie when such a serious breach of security occurs, maybe you should be guarding a lemonade stand not the POTUS.
