But can they PLEASE make it clear that he and his organization speak for nobody but themselves? Furthermore, if they insist on running his little press releases verbatim, could they at least have the decency to seek out his deathless opinions on every other topic tangentially related to the Catholic Church? For example, they could find out what he has to say about the hierarchy's relentless practices of covering up for pedophiles. Or glean his thoughts about the suitability of a Mormon as our next president. Maybe they could get his opinion on "just war" and unprovoked aggression vis-a-vis the United States' foreign policy?

Or doesn't that quite fit the agenda?
