As discovered by BridgeAnne d'Avignon, a 7th grade student, all the US Presidents except for Martin Van Buren are related. At ten years old, d’Avignon discovered some genealogy software her grandfather owned, and decided to use it to try and find out how many United States presidents were related. What she found was very impressive.

They have multiple links through the old New York Dutch families.

So I guess all 43 are indeed related.

both Roosevelts had non-Dutch ancestry (TR's mother was a Bulloch, FDR's a Delano); Van Buren didn't.

The fact that one is related to a given individual doesn't mean that other people who one is also related to are related to that individual.

Van Buren was actually more closely related to Teddy Roosevelt than Franklin Roosevelt was.
