I had just walked into my door in Oklahoma City when a tornado just came out of nowhere and hit the ground in Norman near OU, entirely rain wrapped. We saw power flashes thanks to one of the news channels' helicopter. Gary England and his crew of storm chasers are keeping us informed. There's an amazing hook echo on the radar right now near Bethel Acres OK. And there's another storm brewing south of us heading our way unless it hooks like the other did and goes right towards Norman too...

There is a ton of damage in Norman. Luckily, the Tornado Hopscotched across that town.
It is still storming and more storms are building in the south.

You might check www.news9.com
They will have updates and live shots available.
Plus, you'll get to check out Gary England. He's been keeping us safe in OK for like 40 years or something.

Sounds like another round is on the way. I will check out the Norman photos.

Gary England is a state treasure. I wish I had a nickle for everytime I have tried to explain that we don't have a "Gary England here where I live".

...but I have friends down in that area. They're safe and sound. That's where the storms are coming from, so they're not getting much. Where will you be visiting? Altus?

I will be staying in OKC and will probably also visit relatives in Muskogee. I also planned to spend a little time in Norman.

I know the area where you live. I used to live not far from Penn Square. I hated May Avenue back then - it could not carry all the traffic. In fact, I did not call it May Avenue. I called it GDMA. You can guess what the GD stood for.

South, they have put in a turn lane up to the highway, which helps a lot. Past that, it's FUBAR again.
They need to extend the turn lane all the way down. It would help out a lot.

While we need more Dems, where are you now that makes this place more attractive? If I get out of here, I'm never coming back.
