I will never watch Wolf Blitzer again.

Cenk just showed a clip of Wolf Blitzer chastizing Hillary Rosen for her comments on the air on CNN. He began by calling her out for smiling, forcing her to repeat an apology she had already made, scolding her saying that Anne didn't work when she "obviously" does, and after Hillary apologizes AGAIN on cue, makes her repeat it because he didn't hear her say, "I'm sorry." Really degrading and over-the top biased "journalism". I'm not sure I've ever seen anything so condescending and biased on corporate TV before, and I thought I'd seen everything.

If anyone has the clip, please post it. Even if you think Hillary should have apologized, (and I find her tone deafness in the way she made her comments jaw dropping since she's supposedly a professional), I think you'll agree that Wolf Blitzer is obnoxious. He literally treated her like a child.

Edited to add that the clip is below thanks to a kind DUer, so see for yourself.

Apr 2012

Had the Obama Administration not distanced themselves from Hilary's remarks, the corporate media with Wolf Blitzer leading the way would've chastised them for tacitly attacking stay at home moms.

It was a no win situation from the beginning, the fundamental truth of Hilary's remarks, that being the incredible wealth possessed by the Romney's as an insulating agent from the reality that the vast majority of women working outside the home, or not, or both have to face and Blizter was most intent on never recognizing that point because he was told by his corporate supremacist masters not to.

It was a tempest in a teapot created and magnified by the corporate media regardless of how Obama and the Democrats reacted to it.

In short the corporate media is to news and enlightenment what professional wrestling is to sports, an illusion designed to separate the viewing public from their money

And during the middle of a well presented interview with a local Everett Minnesota, woman reporter, Blitzer bounds out into the airfield, grabs the mike away from the woman, and gleefully tells the audience the exact opposite of the truth. He claimed the weather had brought down the plane. When it was obvious to anyone brought up in the midWest that what the woman reporter had been saying was the fact - the weather was normal for a day in late October, slight rain, and in the high thirties. People in Minnesota are used to far far worse.

He is a CIA troll and nothing from his mouth ever sits right by me.

or whatever her title is. Generally if you are 'qualified' to be a talking head you are qualified to do other things, ie you have a career not a 'job' where you are forced to take what you can get.

I'd probably do whatever my boss wanted to keep my job, including making an apology I didn't think I needed to make about something that is correct. It doesn't help when your 'co-workers' toss you under the bus to fan their ratings though leaving you little choice but to apologize or expect to get fired.

Even apologizing she'll probably 'suffer' for this, from being pushed into the shadows to not having her contract renewed or however her employment is setup with CNN. Again she should have other career options other than being a talking head that chimes in about issues on cable tv.

It is not uncommon to use the term "work" to mean Employment and all indications are that Anne Rmoney never "Worked" in her life. How often have you heard the expression " what do you do for work?" A proper response would be to tell what you do for employment rather than report that you mow your lawn, take the trash out and wash the dishes.

This beating up on Hillary is doing the job of keeping the story alive, which of course makes people aware that Anne has been at home, or driving her couple of Cadillacs, rather than working outside the house like 60% of women do. Good for her that she doesn't have to work like so many other women, but she like everyone else in the public eye had better be ready to take the heat.

Ask your kids if they know any kids with a Mom that isn't working both inside and outside the home. Very rare.

that once again, the Democratic Leadership threw another good Democrat under the bus to appease the Republican Party which has never worked, all they do is use it against them.

I find it so disappointing that as soon as Rightwinger points a finger at any Democrat, from Van Jones, to Shirley Sherrod to ACORN, to Anthony Weiner and now to Hillary Rosen, the Dem Leadership leaps into action and joins the attacks.

She had no reason to apologize, and the Dem Leadership should have taken the issue and run with it agaiinst Romney, NOT against Rosen.

And once again the question is raised, if the Democratic Leadership will not stand up for one of their own colleagues when the Republicans start throwing faux fits, how can we expect them to stand up for us?

Disgusting display by Blitzer, but he couldn't have rubbed it in with his 'we know Republicans would go after you, but how does it feel to know that your OWN PARTY is so angry at you also' if the Dem Party Leadership had any guts at all.

How betrayed she must feel.

No guts, no glory.
