Every GOP Vote Is A Vote For National Suicide Economically & Politically & Culturally.

Every GOP vote is a vote against democracy and even sanity. There is not a SINGLE issue they are correct on. And every policy they support diminishes this nation. So it is appalling that any race is close and possibility that the GOP will dominate Congress including the Senate is unthinkable.

We have ceased to think and have lost common sense as a nation. I do no think the country can survive the radical and extremist GOP. They are farther to the right than ever and more hate and racist than ever. So many statements made by their candidates should render them un electable.

These people support the Koch agenda. And that agenda is even economic and social death for Republican supporters as well. I almost hate to watch any political analysis these days because it appears to push support for the GOP.

roughly half the population believes that every Democratic vote is also a vote for national suicide economically, politically, and culturally.

I see our country more split everyday. I know Democratic Party had 1.4 million more votes then Republicans in 2012 which is basically 49.3 to 49.7 percent of voters which is a pretty split country.

republicons before they got so bat-shit crazy. You would think it would be easy to differentiate the Democratic agenda from republicon scorched earth policies in a way that would make it easy to see the contrast, but it will never happen as long as we continue to get monied triangulating republicon wannabes posing as Democrats "representing" us.

no wonder so many people stay home at election time.

Also, fuzzy facts. My parents grew up during the Great Depression, and taught me that FDR had ended the Depression. My dad's words: "He put people to work." When I got to high school, a history teacher said that it was actually WWII that ended the Depression, and pointed to war manufacturing, and the beefing up of the military. In the last few years I've seen people claim that FDR's policies actually prolonged and possibly deepened the Depression. I will admit that I know so little about economic theory, that I can't say what is true. Maybe a little bit of everything.

Another example: "Trickle down economics." Now we know the devastating longterm effects Reagan's policies have had, but in the short term, it did seem to work. The economy ROARED back to life. And the American electorate bought it, and handed Reagan an overwhelming landslide of a re-election. We sacrificed our longterm economic security for a very short term gain. Foolish, yes, but there are still people who buy the Trickle Down bullshit.
