Ebola Freakouts!

Two days after a man in Texas was diagnosed with Ebola, a Missouri doctor Thursday morning showed up at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport dressed in protective gear to protest what he called mismanagement of the crisis by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Gil Mobley checked in and cleared airport security wearing a mask, goggles, gloves, boots and a hooded white jumpsuit emblazoned on the back with the words, “CDC is lying!”

And here's another! Though, I have to say, I question these news sources as I have never heard of any of them. They seem to all be on the teapublican bandwagon. I still find it quite interesting/entertaining.

“All the people in the back of the ambulance 48 hours later before they finally took the ambulance out of service,” said Dallas Paramedic Geoffrey Aklinski in a discussion on Facebook, “none of them have been contacted. None of the paramedics that were on that shift and went in the ambulance were contacted. I’ve been off three days now. No one contacted me and I was in and drove that ambulance after it was infected.”
Aklinski said he was going to a doctor on his own initiative to be tested for the Ebola virus. “This is definitely a concern and exposed workers have not been contacted or tested… like me,” he explained. “I had to call into control in Dallas at 8 pm and complain to get evaluated.”

It's not very funny.

But there was another error that had followed Duncan's initial release from the ER. On September 28, when he returned to Presbyterian, this time deathly ill in an ambulance, the ER staff immediately suspected Ebola, Presbyterian told reporters, and called in the infectious disease team. How then did the ambulance drivers and the ambulance itself continue in circulation, unquarantined, for the next 48 hours.

Well of course the actual negligence of TX healthcare isn't funny. That website from above is pretty hilarious, though. I think it'll be OK... Honestly... But no these mistakes are not acceptable. Anyway, I am still on the fence about it... I guess we just will not know for sure for another 17-18 days... I refuse to be fear-mongering about it, and I specifically saw an interview at one point with the EMS driver who drove him to the hospital explaining how they sanitized the entire truck just as they always do after someone infectious has been in it...

His media websites are still hardcore liars and have been proven to have used fake, highly edited and just plain dishonest reporting. Any articles from those sites are very suspect.

as AIDS was emerging, there was a Lyndon LaRouche supporter walking around in front of the Post Office with a sign saying: "Mosquitoes don't wear condoms", implying that HIV could be transmitted by mosquito bites.

I realized something... In order to better understand Teapubs I think of someone who is bipolar and schizophrenic with deep seated sociopathy being entirely unmedicated, and it gives me a better understanding of their contradicting and counterproductive nature..,

Also, I want to apologize to anyone who is bipolar and/or schizophrenic for any insult this may have caused, because surely, even you are more aware than these lollygagging baffoons... There must also exist the sociopath nature...

They love the idea of this being like one of those movies or TV shows (ie The Last Ship) where a virus hits. Until, of course, something like that actually happens and it's not pretend anymore. I don't think that time has arrived however.

were saying -- just as they are now -- not to worry, that the risk of transmission was very low.

Now they're verging on 10,000 cases in Liberia.

We obviously need to do a much better job than they have.
