OK, I just did it. I 'unsubscribed' from MoveOn.org

They've become a pain in the ass.
They either want money for some political campaign or other or want me to sign yet another meaningless petition that has no practical effect on anything.

I supported them in the beginning, but no more.
They just flood my inbox with crap I don't care about.
Sue me.

I thought it would be a bit presumptuous for me to do it.
I appreciate it.
I will be available for interviews on WKRG Channel 5.

About 6 months ago. You would think they would figure it out by now that they are chasing members away with the annoying email campaigns.

You haven't encountered the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) yet.

These are the biggest pests you can find anywhere. I made the mistake of sending them a few bucks years ago and when I didn't send the money in fast enough I got harassed, which just pissed me off even more. So I waited until the campaign was over and then I sent the money in along with a note telling them to just leave me the hell alone from now on.

That had to be 2006 or 08 and I've gotten calls regularly since then. They don't email but they are real telemarketers. In fact they called this afternoon and I didn't even let the guy start his spiel before telling him my tale of woe. He couldn't get off the phone fast enough.

I must have told them a dozen times to take me off their phone list but it does no good. Next time I think I'll threaten litigation.

They call.
And we explain that we're 70 somethings basically living on S/S and a small pension.
Yes we explain, we're 'good' Democrats but cannot afford to send money to anyone's campaign.
They're nice.
But they keep calling.
meh

Maybe what I'll do is take some of the money that I get for leasing out my pasture to one of the local horsey ladies who is married to a right wing doctor and donate it to the farthest left candidates I can find.

You know who else are pains in the butt? One of the charitable volunteer thrift store organizations is driving me nuts. We have a local store and when I have something I drop it off to them.

Well they also do pickups apparently. They call me like four or five times a week saying "we have a truck" coming through your area if you want to donate something." I've told them I don't have anything to donate and if I did I'd just take it in myself. Yet they keep calling. I just let it go to voicemail now.

"Bundlers" seem to give money to too many Democrats who have a high "nose-holding" factor.
