It really is the only way to change people. So many accept gays and lesbians because of having them in their lives and exposure in the media as well.

We will have to see how this plays out.

Do you think it is possible for people to change? Could Huckster? I don't know, but to sit back and not try does not make sense to me.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) is calling for the impeachment of the judge who struck down the gay marriage ban that he signed into law 17 years ago.

Huckabee, a former presidential candidate and staunch social conservative, called on the state's current governor, Mike Beebe (D), to call a special session of the state legislature to remove Judge Christopher Piazza from office.

Maybe Huck will come to the conclusion that gay and straight folks are alike and as different from one another as gay folks and other gay folks are and straight folks and other straight folks are. The only think that makes straight folks different from gay folks is they are attracted to other straight folks.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to hear him say he was wrong and all of are entitled to be treated with love, dignity, and respect?

Do you think that if I promote my own for profit products on the shows of bigoted, right wing politicians I can expect that maybe my cat will sprout wings and fly as a result?
I just don't follow the logic. Why would you expect that he would change? Why is that part of this discussion at all?

There can be something to build on. People can change.

I went to a same sex wedding at Yamashiro Hollywood and the majority of guests were heterosexual. They were family members, fellow workers, and employers. They were so moved that a few remarked that they never saw such commitment at traditional weddings.

Sometimes I am strident about a lot of things but I rather build a bridge than blow one up or make a friend over making an enemy.

It's her decision, but I think it's a bad idea. He has an ulterior motive for doing this, and it won't be good.
