Redbox, Verizon Shutting Down Streaming Service

Verizon and Redbox's parent company Outerwall have announced that they will shut down streaming service Redbox Instant.

Redbox Instant has struggled to compete with big-name rivals Netflix and Amazon, and it will cease operating from Tuesday

The companies said in a statement: "The joint venture partners made this decision after careful consideration.

"The service had not been as successful as either partner hoped it would be."

The statement also indicated that subscribers will receive details of how to obtain their refunds shortly.

Their service really sucked anyway. Not competitive in the least.

I did enjoy some of the older horror movies they seemed to have that Amazon or Netflix did not have. I gave it up after the free trial expired.
