The consequences of panic that many people warned about.
I think this actually hurts the fight against Ebola because it ties up CDC resources.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is getting 800 calls a day from health care facilities and other sources with concerns that a sick individual might have Ebola symptoms, up from 50 calls daily before the first U.S. case was diagnosed in Dallas last week.
So far, all have been false alarms. The Liberian man hospitalized in critical condition in Dallas remains the nations only confirmed case of Ebola.
CDC Director Tom Frieden said during a media briefing Sunday that the high-alert attention making sure Ebola remains top of mind is exactly what public health officials need to help contain spread of the virus here.
Thomas Eric Duncan, who fell ill after arriving from Liberia to visit friends and relatives, remains at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Frieden described him as fighting for his life and said any decision on giving him an experimental treatment or plasma from a survivor of the West African Ebola outbreak would be up to the patient, his family and the team caring for him.

(51,666 posts)calling to be spoonfed "the answer" on demand, it's not good. I wouldn't be so charitable.
But if they are looking for clarification after having read guidelines made public by the CDC, I understand that.

(11,495 posts)The spread fear on a daily basis and try to link he president to everything they can, including Ebola. Sadly their base isn't all the smart and buy into the fear.

(55,894 posts)Are these healthcare facilities just nervous nellies in panic or are they checking in for information?
Even the blurb you include says it's a good thing so I think your OP title is misleading and unhelpful.

CDC resources tied up because some guy has been watching too much Faux Newz. He's just got the flu or a cold.
Everyone is in a panic.
People are running around like chickens with their heads cut off
