"SNIP......................
The Fox News poll puts Republicans ahead in five key states:
Alaska: Republican Dan Sullivan leads incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Begich, 44-40.
Arkansas: Republican US Rep. Tom Cotton leads incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor, 46-39.
Colorado: Republican US Rep. Cory Gardner leads incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Udall, 43-37.
Kentucky: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell leads Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes, 45-41.
Kansas: Incumbent GOP Sen. Pat Roberts leads Independent challenger Greg Orman, 44-39. In the CNN poll, Roberts led 49-48. This is a swing from most other recent polls that have shown Orman with an advantage.

(14,449 posts)I take solise in the fact that polls were all over the place and towards the end ahead for Republicans. And then reality hit and the right party one. The Democratic Party! I predict the same.

(10,745 posts)BTW, there's at least one poll that puts Alison Grimes ahead of Mitch McConnell now.

(15,429 posts)I'm sure they "unskewed" their data like they did in 2012.
They had Romney winning by comfortable margins in late October of 2012.

(22 posts)The boss is on vacation -
He loves Faux Snooze. He loves push polls.
He gets lots and lots of calls asking for support of (R)idiculous efforts.
I, on the other hand, am having a wonderful time telling those callers to put me on all of their do-not-call lists! The phone is already ringing less and less.

(28,498 posts)I'll go with Public Policy Polling--
The big story in this race continues to be Roberts' unpopularity. Only 29% of voters approve of the job he's doing to 46% who disapprove. Those numbers have barely budged from when he posted a 27/44 spread last month. Roberts continues to be plagued by his residence issues- only 29% of voters think he considers Kansas to be his home, compared to 53% who think it's Washington DC.
Despite their current support of Orman, 49% of Kansans still want a US Senate that is controlled by the Republicans to only 39% who want one controlled by the Democrats. Right now only 62% of people who want a GOP controlled Senate say they're going to vote for Roberts. If he can effectively nationalize the race- Barack Obama has a 33/58 approval rating in the state- and get those folks who want GOP control to cast their votes for him Roberts will find himself in a much better place.

And Taylor(D) has withdrawn. Yes, the poll is two weeks old but I've been following this race and Roberts is in trouble.
