I think they promote gun safety, but what do they do to confront the problems that their support for right-to-carry laws cause, problems like the Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case?
I would like to know. A gun is a huge responsibility. What is the NRA doing to warn its members about the dangers of guns to themselves, their families, their neighbors and strangers like Trayvon Martin?

I've taken one NRA handgun safety courses and the instructor did stress responsibly and that mistakes mean unnecessary death and jail time.

Hard to say which is worth, driving while drunk or carrying a gun while drunk.
