It’s everyone’s favorite time of year, right? Like every other publicly-supported media outlet, we are gearing up for a Fall Fundraiser to keep it lit (and keep the lights on) for the future! Rep. Walter B. Jones, R-N.C.

North Carolina Rep. Walter Jones (R/Rapture)is ready to meet Jesus, and he’s hoping the Prince of Peace is packing heat. He’s calling for divine intervention in the form of a hybrid religious/Republican revolution to stop President Obama from sending troops to assist with the Ebola crisis in Africa, although the right Representative does admit that guns “do not necessarily” have to be involved. Yup, he’s serious.

In an appearance on Laura Ingram’s radio program last week, Rep. Jones explained that people needed to understand that we have a bible and we have a constitution, and if we fail to follow them we will collapse. How this relates to Ebola in Africa is a bit confusing, but it seems to be related to what the good Congressman deems excessive spending. Raw Story has more:

Jones said that as a “Ron Paul-type Republican” he believed that saving the country was going to take leaders who “understand that we have a bible and we have a constitution. And if we do not follow the Constitution then we will continue to go down this road of collapsing.”

“That’s what we need to do is to have a revolution in this country, and not talking about gun necessarily,” he added. “I’m talking about a revolution of people getting out of their offices and getting into the streets letting their voices be heard.”
Not necessarily with guns. Truthseeker, are there stifled conservative voices out there that are not being heard border to border, coast to coast, across the fruited plane? Are we somehow missing their message, which is pounded daily by the corporate media? It’s absurd to believe there is such a dearth of Neocon representation that they must take to the streets in possibly armed revolution to defend the bible and the constitution. Greg Palast’s Armed Madhouse, indeed.
