Well WTF?? DISH Network droped CNN & HLN. All I have is MSNBC & FOX.

I am so pissed. So basically I now only have MSNBC since Fox is unwatchable.

Dispute with Turner Network also killed my Turner Classic Movie Channel.
I hate these Corporate a**ho*es.

Tuned in this morning and its GONE.

CNN Among Several Turner Networks Dropped By Dish In Carriage Dispute

Another carriage dispute has resulted in the blackout of TV networks. As of 2 AM ET on Oct. 21, several Turner Broadcast nets, including CNN, Cartoon Network and cnnlogo__140117174347-275x131__140122180929__140425214942TruTV, are no longer available on Dish Network after Turner and the satellite provider could not reach a new deal following lengthy negotiations and extensions to the two companies’ previous contract

they'll get it back. This bullshit tactic rolls around every time it's renewal season. We had Time Warner cutting out a bunch of channels earlier and Direct TV was last year.

The Michael Brown that had no emergency handling expertise and who screwed up the response to Katrina. If CNN considers someone like that as an expert to put on regarding Ebola, then be glad you can't get CNN.

Taken from the quote attributed to Mark Twain

“If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're mis-informed."

Fox is for right wingers, MSNBC for the left wingers (who consume corporate tv news), and CNN is for people who read the Enquirer while in the checkout line at the grocery store.

Television news in the U.S.A. is shallow and twisted. I can't watch it. Throw in pharmaceutical, political, and all the other advertisements and I find it unbearable to watch. It's a total waste of my time.

Our television plays DVD movies and television series, commercial free. That's all it does. I get my "news" from the local newspaper and diverse internet sources. I pay great attention to the biases of these sources. The BBC, for example is very biased in support of the financial sector; "business as usual," and global markets.

Every news source has its weaknesses. Many news sources, most especially U.S. television and radio news sources, don't have any strengths.

Besides, this will be over soon - I like that DISH does what it can to keep prices down. They've done it before and this is no exception.

Stay Calm and don't watch FIX - there's a boatload of channels to avoid or watch.

Turner Movie CLassics. My go to late night viewing channel. COuld set the DVR anytime of day to view later.

True that it may resolve as in the AMC dispute. and oh yes we may see a rate increase to simply bring them back.

But oh yes, I can still watch 25 GAWD Channels promising to save my sorry soul for a handsome fee. fuckers.

Its the gaul of how we live under the Corporate owned society I am most disgusted with.
Well that & HLN & my Classis movies.

I can watch from my laptop of course but that's not what I pay DISH every month for.

Geez my tiny luxury in life here.
I want to sit on my soft sofa & watch on the big screen.
Oh and did I mention I live in TEXAS!!

I am living in a corporate chokehold!

Keep calling and raising hell! It worked here when Comcast dropped C-span in favor of children's programs! There were even letters to the editor in the local rag.

You will miss Anthony Bourdain! Tell them you are going to DirecTV--- that might work.
