LOL. I thought it was in poor taste, but gave them candy anyway. The other kids that have come by have all been precious.

(17,621 posts)and my kid wanted to create an ISIS costume for Halloween, I would ask him if he knew who they were and what they were about. And I wouldn't permit it.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)The parents were watching them. I thought it was a bit tacky. Then you have the parents video taping every single door they ring LOL . The little flock of zombies were hilarious.

Brigid
(17,621 posts)No trick or treaters because they can't get in.
It's so neat to see all the costumes the kids wear.

It was tacky, but they were little kids, couldn't be more than 8 or 9. Just because they have stupid parents with no regard for decency doesn't mean I'll mistreat the children.

(1,832 posts)I have seen kids dressed up like Jeffrey Dahmer before and like Charleton Heston, as head of the NRA, it's Halloween, taste and common sense are not often seen on this night.

(39,961 posts)I gave them the same amount of candy I gave all the others. I just thought it was in very poor taste.

(1,307 posts)I said "Hey, it's Zorro!" and his mom laughed and said "She called you Zorro!" He had some sort of makeup over his entire face, no mask. Does anyone know what he was? something from a movie?
Shrike47
(6,913 posts)There was a television show and movies.
Zorro has a sword and 'makes the sign of the Z' by cutting your shirt if you're the bad guy.

(4,876 posts)when I was young there were hundreds of kids in the streets. We'd go out for hours and hours...
I'm wondering if one of my kids is scaring them away so they can keep all the candy for themselves.

I had LOTS of zombies.
Being in Dallas, I was surprised we only had a few medical/hazmat costumes.
That's hilarious, hazmat costumes. Didn't get any of those. That would have been funny, though!

(3,431 posts)it shows that a lot of parents do not understand the issues.
How many of us are a) involved with the fight against ISIS, and b) have a contact with the medical workers involved with Ebola.
The fear has been pushed up, but the understanding is sadly missing.
