Shocking words of Louisiana legislators about schools after Katrina. Video 2005

Remember when Arne Duncan announced that Katrina was the best thing to happen to New Orleans schools?

Well, I saw a video today of how carelessly the legislature and governor there were speaking about that tragedy. They were all excited at their "opportunity of a lifetime" to get their charter school agenda.

Hat tip to Lee Barrios on Twitter for this reminder.

After Hurricane Katrina, Education Reformers were licking their chops at what they saw as an opportunity to take over New Orleans Schools. The result is now being realized with New Orleans having 100% Charter Schools and the citizens having no voice or choice when it comes to sending their children to school.
