I wore my favorite Jerry Garcia tie to vote today.

In Milwaukee County there were two candidates for sheriff, Clarke, Jr. the republican who runs as a Democrat to get the minority vote, and Angie Walker (no relation) who is running on the Draft Bernie Sanders for President party. I voted for her.

PS: The voting ladies liked my patriotic tie, especially when they found out it was a Jerry Garcia tie.

I'm reading EO Wilson's 'Life on Earth'. It is a free basic biology text available through iBooks as part of a course through iTunes U called Biology: Life on Earth.

The course has lots of notes, audios/videos, links to lectures, apps and documents. It should keep me busy through the winter.

I almost thought I shouldn't and should just go for plain, but then I figured, i wear it everywhere else, why not!
And yeah, they probably knew my political leanings!

Didn't have any buttons, but I did have my grandsons with me, so they can learn civic duty is important, even in the pouring rain!!!!!

I own about eight Jerry Garcia ties. I'm wearing one right now. I didn't think to connect it with Election Day. I just wore it because I like it.

in what looks to be a pretty bleak November before a deep and dark December

My guess is the Bears are probably already looking for who'll be coaching the spring mini-camps.
