Why you need to vote, even if your vote "doesn't count"

It is a sad reality of today's political environment that many of us live in places where the party has decided not to contest the election vigorously. This is the reality of billions of dollars of dark money. That means that our elections are decided (or at least there are strong attempts to decide them) based on budget allocation decisions that might be made thousands of miles away.

That money situation is not likely to change for at least another generation or two. So the only way to convince the money people that your area is worth contesting is for them to see serious numbers, even in a losing cause. Your vote may not count today, but it has an impact on the allocation of resources for the next election, So hold your nose if you must, but get out there and be counted.

there are more of us then there are of them.. that the rash policies that they may try to push through are not approved by the majority of Americans.. I talked to my younger brother in SD.. and he voted.. he knows his area will be republican..but you add his vote to all the other votes across this country and that is a message in and of itself.. Thank you for this op..
