Marijuana Initiatives On The Ballot In Three States And D.C.

America’s attitude toward marijuana has been slowly shifting over the past decades, with polls now indicating that a majority of people in the country now support legalization.

In 2012, Washington and Colorado became the first states to legalize recreational use of the drug. Eighteen states have decriminalized marijuana, and 23 states have passed laws in support of medical marijuana.

Legislatures have been slow to support marijuana, so advocates have taken action by pushing for voter decided ballot measures. On Nov. 4, Residents in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington, D.C., will decide whether to legalize marijuana. In Florida and Guam, a U.S. territory, voters will decide on a medical marijuana program, and a few cities have added decriminalization bills to the ballot.

If I were a betting girl my money would be on them all passing their version.

See, weed doesn't really make you lazy. I've been up since six this morning, smoking and waiting to vote. I want to wait in line to ask people how they are voting, I'm super nosy. Besides, if they are planning on voting wrong, I'll try to manipulate them into voting properly by presenting facts from my google box.

and the state collected $45 million in taxes from recreational and medical sales, licenses, etc between january and august. it even looks like we might be getting an additional tax refund in 2016 (any surplus tax money has to be refunded to residents. i'd like to see that money go to education, mh funding, etc, but tabor isn't going to be repealed any time soon).

I don't know if we'll get the 60% necessary. The pukes tried to say to their sheep that this measure was designed to get Dems to the polls to vote for Crist. I hope enough people see through the bullshit. I see Crist getting 50% with Scott getting 44% and the Lib 5% I hope we get enough compassionate voters... or stoners.

If not, I guess I'll keep breakin the law.
