It's still very early, but DAMMIT!!!!

Vicky Hartzler's (MO) opponent is actually registering a few votes. He didn't really run a campaign because no one wanted anything to do with him. I'm not sure what the objections were, but I got the feeling that vetting started too late and he filed without a lot of support to begin with.
The chance of Dems picking up that seat were slim to none.
But, a good candidate with a respectable tally might have poked a hole in her sense of inevitability for future elections. We need to be grooming good candidates and backing them up with hours if not dollars if we are ever going to change this mess.

In MLB, the smart organizations use their minor league teams to draft and develop young players to prepare them for "the show". We Dems need to do something similar.
