The generals don't lose because they are incompetent or stupid, they lose because they are trying to play a game of straight, orthodox basketball while the Globetrotters realize the true limits of the game (almost none). Part of the show are the generals playing regular, straightlaced basketball while the Globetrotters bend and break the rules.

When they do win they don't press the advantage. We will see what the future brings, yeah?

Democrats CAN do it. But goddamn they sure do their best to f*** it up.

Hell, 2006 was even one of those "midterm" elections.

Please, my friend.

Breathe. Relax. It isn't over. We've lost two Senate seats so far. And that isn't enough. And we're likely to get KS.

Plus we are likely to gain governors.

So, no worries, mate.

"Come November, if the Democrats wind up flopping and flailing for an explanation as to why they got routed at the polls, let me offer a succinct reply: You stand for nothing. You are the Washington Generals to the Harlem Globetrotters. Everyone expects you to go down to defeat, because you always lay down, because you are paid to do so."

The fact that Dems are losing, badly, should be an indictment of the party leadership.
