"Drunk on a Plane" just won best music video award.

This CMA (Country Music Association) award result was announced at about 8:15 AM EST on ABC's Good Morning America.

Another example of voting results reflecting the dumbing down of America.

I thought it was about the guy having a last hurrah with the other passengers as the plane crashes down. I can't listen to that song (my brother loves it) because it makes me cry.

At this point I actually hope it's just a stupid country song. Makes me think of this.

The song itself is about a guy flying alone (his fiancee' called off the wedding) to a tropical destination which was to be where the honeymoon would take place. To my taste, the music is nothing special and the lyrics are mundane. The line "kiss my ass" is included.

In the video, the jilted guy proceeds to imbibe heavily, as do the other passengers. He and a few attractive females dance together with motions a bit less than that of twerking.

In my opinion, it is a dumb video of a mediocre song. I think too much of country music caters to dull thinking.

On the other end of the spectrum, county music star Keith Urban put on two fantastic performances at the close of this morning's "Good Morning America" show. His first song was a poignant ballad about a man who stupidly decides to reject the love of is life. His second song was upbeat.
