but elected people who think an increase in the minimum wage is a job killer and would never support an increase. In Massachusetts voters overwhelmingly voted for mandated paid sick time yet voted for Baker who was against the ballot question (jobs killer). The American people when faced with a clear choice that tangibly puts money in their pockets will show support. But then they will show a brain disconnect and vote an official that goes against their interests. Let's vote for the guy who wrote and supported the personhood amendment but overwhelmingly vote against it on a ballot question in CO. I scratch my head.

often vote IMO according to their hot buttons and peer pressure. Also, I think the democratic party does a miserable job of messaging. Often the real issues at stake are not out in the open, but rather masked by a bunch of bantering and mudslinging often by both parties. And then, we have unbridled money flowing into the election process. It is a system that will eventually fail for the majority of the people and it's well on its way to that as it is eroding.
