(45,251 posts)knew Shaheen won hours ago. (Her victory is not dependent upon his concession.)

(31,823 posts)Understand - I might get a hide for this.
But I hope Brown chokes on his vomit today - Joni Ernst's daughters have ectopic pregnancies some day.
So I'm really short with people - don't take it personally.

(45,251 posts)I've posted in a few places on DU that Brown's loss to Shaheen is one of the brightest rays in this election, including the Massachusetts group, and not simply because of New Hampshire.
After Kennedy died, the Kochs thought that they could groom a pretty boy Northeast "moderate" Republican who had grown up on welfare for the Presidency. Warren and Shaheen stopped that (I hope).

(31,823 posts)I'm actually happy about him taking the thumping. It's like the movie The Candidate - ever see it? With Redford.
Who'da thunk a 40 some odd year old movie would still be so accurate and true!

(45,251 posts)I keep saying, it's no longer Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. It's House of Cards.
The stakes are so huge, the greed is so great, it's almost impossible for ordinary people to overestimate the evil at those levels.

(10,115 posts)His wife Gail Harris was a station reporter in Boston and then worked in the news media in Washington when they were there for their short visit. I cannot see her reporting live from Manchester, NH during drive time.

(45,251 posts)(Totally as an aside, I never understood why any local weather report needs corroboration. If there is a nor-easter, those of us who live in Massachusetts can corroborate the weather report simply by glancing out our own windows.)

(45,251 posts)He was in the state legislature in Massachusetts for years. No credibility problem running as a Massachusetts resident.
He had a vacation home in New Hampshire, though I don't know when he bought it. Somewhat of a credibility problem running as a New Hampshire resident after going down to defeat in Massachusetts. Massachusetts is a blue state, New Hampshire a purple one.
So, what can he do?
Go to a red state and whine that he realized that whacky Northeast liberals just can't appreciate his great Republican ideas, the ones that took him from welfare to the US Senate (with a lot of help from the Koch brothers). So, he realized he had to move to a red state
Or, he could become a spokesmodel on the Price is Right.
