Giving the Devil his due.. last nights election

The Republicans won.. and they won by running on nothing.. just saying they will overturn the Presidents "failed policies" that was it.. not what they thought those policies were.. did not articulate failed policies.. just kept repeating the mantra over an over and over again.. and unfortunately for our side.. it worked..

Big money running endless commericals.. negativity works.. Even when we ran commericals showing what Ernst was really about.. from doing away with Social Security as we know it.. killing alternative energies.. (which is big in Iowa.. wind farms) ..it just washed right over people

Why our people will not turn out for mid-terms has never ceased to be a mystery to me.. and it is the mid-terms where all the power really lays. The idea that you can elect one person who will wave a magic wand and make all our dreams come true without the support system from federal to state houses is beyond me.

When 2010 happened and we got so redistricted.. I knew we were in trouble..but this is just as traumatic in the long run..

I am exhausted as I know our people locally are.. this is going to be pretty darned bad..

The Presidential election does not interest me at all.. its one person.. losing these mid-tems is killing us.. just killing us..

And running away from all our accomplishments is a nightmare..
