hey cnn, why the fuck didn't you run this before the election?

we wouldn't want to inform our audience, now would we? real fucking funny.

Bad boys survive to win re-election

(CNN) -- You know that Republican doctor who got one of his patients pregnant and then demanded that she get an abortion? Yeah, he won Tuesday night.

How about the indicted guy who threatened to throw a reporter over a Capitol Hill balcony? Yep. Him too.

Election Day was packed with surprises — and some of the biggest were in House races.

Two Republican members of Congress managed to win despite federal investigations and bad behavior so far-fetched that even the writer's room at "Scandal" would take a pass on their stories.

I never understand why people want the MSM to 'see the light'. They have their agenda. They're working it exactly how they want to.

Wed Nov 5, 2014, 07:26 PM

You know, like when the New York Times sat on its domestic spying story about the Bush administration. The Times had the story vetted and ready in October 2004, but didn't publish until December 2005 because they didn't want to be accused of influencing the 2004 election. See, getting hollered at by Rush Limbaugh is that much worse than an out-of-control spy agency compromising the constitutional rights of every citizen, so I think we can all agree that the Times made the right choice.

Similarly, CNN had to sit on each and every one of these stories and not give them any oxygen because it would have looked "partisan" or something to report the truth. The only thing worse than having these schmucks elected to office would be to call them the schmucks they are before the election when it might influence the outcome. Once again, acting totally out of fear or favor, a major media outlet avoids being called partisan. And I think everyone agrees that being called partisan is just the absolute worst, right?

Right poor people? Continue living in poverty.
Right women? Continue to have your health compromised by Republican policies.
Right people of color? Continue to be denied your constitutional rights.
Right citizens? You don't deserve a representative government anyway. Just vote the way the billionaires tell you to vote, and everything will be okay.

How does this election make sense? The billionaires bought it with voter disenfranchisement laws, stripping registration lists, and any method they could work, and it was spent in each precinct as needed, any with a margin that could be moved.

I certainly recall the Grimm story making the national news, including CNN. As for Desjarlais, I don't recall one way or the other. I think it was probably more of a story in 2012 and 2013 and during the repub primary (which Desjarlais would have lost had not the repub vote been split among five or six candidates -- as it is, he only finished 38 votes ahead of his closest challenger). Once he had the nomination in hand (after the story had been out for well over a year), he was a lock for reelection in a deep red district (ranked +13 R).

The voters in these districts knew exactly who they were voting for.

The ugly and shameful deeds for both these Republicans were already publicized ahead of Election Day, and the voters knew of them. Even if the local newspapers softpedaled these scandals, they were plenty emphasized on cable TV news commentaries.

And yet these guys won. The voters knew and still voted for these guys. WTF. How bad do you have to be to be disqualified as a Republican candidate and how bad do you have to be for voters to go against you??!!
