It's suddenly clear... a lot of folks here seem to believe in supply-side politics

People are seriously saying it's the voters fault that they weren't attracted to candidates?

What? The politicians are always right?

That really requires political supply-side thinking rather akin to the design and marketing of the Ford Edsel.

And to save the failing political system they'll expect us to step in and give them more money so they can plan their own bailout.

Because it's a two party system and we gotta believe the Dems are too big to fail. It'd be CHAOS otherwise.

and for some reason the one demographic that reliably shows up to the polls every midterm happens to be the GOP's only reliable voting bloc. Well by gender, age, and ethnicity. I'm sure religious affiliation on exit polls probably skew in their favor.

just assume the dem base will vote for them because the base has got no where else to go.

DID THEY EVER CONSIDER the dem base HAVING NO WHERE TO GO MEANS STAYING HOME on election day???!!!

and distractions even on the same issue while they're screwing them over as they're looking at something else. Convincing people to deny global warming & mock Al Gore while they're helping the oil companies profit as much as possible while they destroy the environment.

I meant to say marketing and the usual mid-term trends that played out yesterday.

Let us say for 20 years you have bought every 5 year a Toyota. The cars however may not have improved, and the latest

model looks okay, but has a terrible transmission. Still, because you have always bought that brand, you will buy it again,

because, well, it might not be as bad as consumer reports claim. It might take a disastrous accident for you to change your

mind at last. Possible???

even if it's an awful, unimproved, flawed product

Why blame voters who decide they'll just not drive

it's time to build my own.

School board? City Council? State Rep?

First thing is to get a handle on all the calendars, I guess.

you don't need the car or the high interest loan and never get those repeated troubling emails and phone calls about purchasing the extended warrantee
