The Blue Dogs actually did pretty well.

16 members of the Blue Dog Caucus sought re-election. 3 of them (Barrow, Gallego, and Rahall) lost. 2 are in a recount (Costa and Barber). 11 won (Bishop, Bustos, Cooper, Cuellar, Lipinski, Peterson, Sanchez, Schrader, Scott, Sinema, and Thompson), many of them by huge margins. And this is off of districts that are much harder for Democrats to win than the average district.

In addition, Ashford of Nebraska is almost certain to join the blue dog caucus when he's seated, and Graham of Florida (who won by saying over and over again "I am not Barack Obama or Nancy Pelosi&quot is likely to as well.
