Jessup, MD--Authorities confirmed Carlesha Freeland-Gaither,22, was found alive in Jessup, Maryland on Wednesday night.
Authorities say a task force located the car believed to be involved in the case, when the suspect exited the vehicle, he was apprehended. That's when they were able to recover Carlesha. She is currently in "good shape,"police say.
Freeland-Gaither's alleged captor, Delvin Barnes, 37, was apprehended by a team of U.S. Marshals and ATF and FBI agents. He already had an outstanding warrant for attempted murder and other charges from the Charles City County sheriff's office in Virginia, and will face additional federal crimes in Philadelphia, authorities said.
Carlesha's mother thanked everyone for their help at a press conference on Wednesday, she said, "Thanks, I'm taking my baby home."

(10,427 posts)Jessup is a big trucking area. It's right off of I-95, and is a major warehouse district. I'm betting that someone kidnapped her for sex trafficking purposes.
