(269,045 posts)A sad song came on my ipod playlist during my fitness walk yesterday. That was enough to send me over the edge.
Happy music only for the next week at least.

(14,449 posts)I don't see much getting done in the next two years. The Republicans are going to have huge internal fights even before a bill is voted on. ACA will survive. SS will still be provided to those currently receiving the check. It is not as easy to pass things as we think. Look at 2008 with the President having majority and couldn't get everything he wanted. Not at all going to be as bad as our thoughts want is to believe.

(14,449 posts)At best the Senate for Democratic party would have stayed as today. The Americans are going to suffer regardless for awhile. The Presiidents Economy won't be realized until around 2018. That is how it always is.

(14,449 posts)I am more frightened about the Republican governors who won. They can and will do the most damage. I feel for those who have state pensions. They will at the very least lose COLAs. New Jersey and Illinois saw horrible changes to their state pensions. I know it is worse for those without a pension, but in the we are all in this together situation, states are in for some bad times.
