I think democratic candidates need to quit walking around the elephant in the room and

get back to the old hard core democratic values. Democratic candidates IMO also need to get back to explaining issues in gutsy terms. I think many voters today relate in gut level instincts rather than well spoken logic. That is sad, but that's the way it is today.

Also, democratics need to stick together and repeat the same values over and over again in short consistent concise choppy statements. There was nothing wrong with the old hard core democratic values, but IMO many democrats have allowed republicans to define the playing field.

This running away from our stated platform.. does nothing but bite us in the backside in the end.. the Republicans ran on nothing .. here in Iowa.. and somehow it worked.. and I wish our side would have just thrown down the gauntlet a little more and said.. "you are Damn Straight I support all of these issues.. and you know that when you pull the lever for me.. this is who I am.. "

and tying it into the need to register and vote especially younger voters.

2016 needs to build off this debacle by admitting mistakes and embracing Dem values.

those values, to me at least, seem to waffle a lot depending on who the GOP opposition is. That, is not a good way to instill voter confidence by democrats having shifting values. They need to be precise, concise and unified, all speaking of same values!

It's not the war on women.

It's not about race.

It's not about climate change.

It's. The. Economy.

Until we get that through our heads, nothing else matters.

insisting they are the voice of the party. They just need to disappear, go join the republican party where they belong. Centrists, I'm a new Democrat, all that shit needs to end. We are liberal Democrats, be proud about it. Shout it from the roof tops.

That's why progressive legislation won big during election and the 3rd way seats up for grabs all lost. We need to BE the opposition party very clearly instead of trying to be like them. We need to adhere to the constitution and stop protecting bankers and go full left. Otherwise we are seen as "just like the Republicans".

Cause when you have 2 of the same who do you choose?

We need fighters in our party beating on the bully pulpit every fucking day. The right works everyday, we go limp when everything is calm.

PS.. I know we're not the same but does the general population even know what a 3rd way Democrat is? I'm guessing not.

Forget explaining we need to fight tooth and nail and quit allowing the Republican spin machine to set the terms of the debate. Dean had it right. That's how you fire up the base and get them excited and coming out to vote.
