I demand Democratic obstructionism in the next Congress.

Exactly what the GOP did for the last 6 years?
That needs to be us now.
You know all their legislation is going to have poison pills and bullshit deal-breakers inserted.
We need to filibuster every fucking thing the GOP puts down as a bill.
Fuck them.
The GOP gets nothing.
I don't even want any bills showing up on the President's desk for a veto.
They promised to break the gridlock because they caused it.
Fuck them.
Time to lock up the grid and make them break their promise.
Fuckers.

but we won't.

We'll see congresscritters rushing to the Right, to lick the teabaggers' boots.

We'll see senators begging for the TPP, Keystone XL, and an end to Social Security and Medicaid as we know them.

There might be a few hold outs, but for the most part, we appear to have elected a spineless group who are only active when they think it might buy them a few more years in the seats that make them money.

Yes, filibuster or block really bad bills or hot political topics but let the President veto the rest of the bad bills. He's a "lame duck" who doesn't have to worry about running for office again.

Filibusters should also be "traditional". Stand up on the floor and talk.

I predict that Boehner and McConnell will have enough problems just trying to corral their caucuses.

The corporate end game is the same no matter which party is in charge. Washington is horribly corrupt. There are some sincere and honest legislators but they are outnumbered by puppet theater on both sides of the aisle.

I've come to the conclusion that we need to concentrate on making our local and state elected officials do the right thing. Eventually we might be able to clean Washington up.

Do you believe our intrepid MINORITY leader who has been holding down the fort with milktoast and wet noodle bromides; will get a backbone and leave his 'don't blame me, its not my fault' corner, to stand and fight; or that he will not run, shuddering in his boots, at the first threat of suspending the 60 vote "rule"; as he did before; or that the many DINO's or DWH,s , (a self coined acronym for Democrats without honer), will bravely come to the fight on the side of the Democrats or democracy, or any fairness at all for that matter.

Forgetting the new way "democrats", The only democratic stallworts to hold down the fort and our democratic honor and this hope, that we all have in varying degrees, is Warren, Sanders, Brown, Whitehouse and 5 or six others and in fair weather just a small few more, keeping the democrats relevant; or that these are any match for the zeolotry that has taken over our government by outright fraud, cheating, and bald faced lies.

Other than huge landslides in 16, large enough to inundate and overtake the fraud; democracy is over and elections have become nothing more than a show to rake in the billions for television and internet conglomerates who along with the rest of the top 2%, hammer to suit to whatever is wanted in these "elections".

We will lose Independents, and left-of-Center voters after 2 years of Obama giveaways to the lunatic brigade in the GOP. That's what happens when you have a former Reagan Republican/"New Democrat" as the Party leader. Look at how Crist lost. That (D) after the name is nothing more than political expediency.

To Republicans, Democrats are cowardly communists who would rather spend on their dime. They have effectively simplified Democrat = Enemy, less than human and nothing else.

The nuance between a Democrat to a Republican however when it comes to everyone else is much more blurred.

To the general Independent or even a Millenial, they don't really see much of a difference since what they see is Democrats taking the Republican position and even dismissing their own accomplishments and saying it is flawed, rather than celebrating whatever success they have and promoting it.

A Republican passing something crazy, they would swear up and down that it is the second coming while it creates havoc on everyone else other than the rich.

They really need to be able to show the difference. During the Bush era, it was easy to spot the difference... It is much harder right now.

But all I hear from the M$M is the GOP led Hose passed a bunch of job creating bills (a lie, they weren't job creators) and the Democrats didn't vote on them. It doesn't matter what the Dems do, the perception will be the Dems won't work with the Repuglicans.
Come to think of it, screw 'em. Filibuster. The Dems will be blamed for everything anyway.
