mother earth
(6,002 posts)needed to keep certain states and pick up a few. How do you win on democratic issues, yet lose on the very candidates of those positions? I believe the polls were right, and how is it that when they are wrong we just acquiesce and act like nothing to see here.
Polls are taken for a reason, when they are wrong there is good reason to suspect foul play. I honestly don't believe there are ever any elections without trickery and stealing in the background. We will never have what we vote for, we will only get what they can shape and slide past us.
What's worst is that Obama is not going to be using the veto pen, you watch, we are going to get the XL pipeline, TPP, and more. I don't even want to see what will be done next, we have the Romney nightmare now without Romney.
The vote is up for grabs, and it will continue to be until we end this amnesia we have over 2000 and 2004.

(31,849 posts)that, if it is about the issues and a candidate that can effectively communicate on the issues, he has it backwards ... Sanders is saying that people are demoralized and his run against the "big money interests" depends on the grass roots folks drafting him; rather than, the people are demoralized and he will lead them out of their despair.
