For any of you defending the third way

LineNew Reply K&R
of doing things, I'm from NC which became red on the state level in 2010 and now, through gerrymandering will remain that way. Thus, you think in order to win a state like mine , we must accept representatives that distance themselves from real progressive ideas to win office. It's wrong on so many levels and didn't 't save Hagan's Senate seat. My point is as follows: Obama won NC in 2008 and our Congressional Representation was overwhelmingly Democratic and our Legislature had remained Democratic since Reconstruction. If I cannot give you a better factual reason to reject the ideas of the Third Way and their idea of rejecting progressive candidates for office and the presidency than what I stated, the Democratic Party will die because of the Third Way. Have a nice day.

legislature working out and the fact we can't vote them out through gerrymandering or have a majority of Democrats in the US House anymore, most likely for the rest of my life due to my age?

Progressive vs. 3rd-way probably doesn't enter into it too much.

Running progressive candidates also requires having progressive candidates to run.
Do you have somebody in mind?

they don't care if they even win: in 1988 they were set up to curry corporate favor "in order to win" but money is more important than seats

A LOT of people in NC would love to have an actual liberal to vote for. People would be surprised at how many more people would vote if they had any real alternatives between right wing and more right wing.

Seriously, are we just simply going to give up on any kind of actual reflection on why we lost and just blame everything on some nefarious cabal? Good god!
