Steve Scalise won't attend White House meeting with congressional leaders

WASHINGTON -- When the House and Senate leadership meet with President Barack Obama Friday at the White House, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-Jefferson, will be a no show.

Scalise spokeswoman Moira Bagley Smith said Scalise, just recently re-elected Tuesday with nearly 78 percent of the vote, has a schedule conflict. She didn't elaborate.

I wonder what schedule conflict prevents him to do his job.
