No one wants to vote for a liar

and once democratic politicians understand that they can start running better campaigns.

When John kerry said he didn't support gay marriage he sounded like he was lying. When Grimes said she would not reveal her vote, she sounded like she was lying. I understand why they said what they did, but they did not sound honest in that moment.

And all of Romney was a bunch of lies that were not coherent.

As crazy as the republicans sounds, a lot of them, especially those on the far right, do not sound like they are lying about their position. They sound like they genuinely believe in the shit they are spewing.

The average person does not vote for policy, they vote for the person they are voting for and if that person doesn't seem honest, I really don't see how they can vote for them.

We either need to become far better and convincing liars or we need to hide from the truth less often.

Everybody knows that Grimes voted for Obama, the only thing that refusing to say so did was paint her as someone who could not be trusted to tell the truth.

We are entering a "post-spin" political era, where massaging the message doesn't change anyone's perceptions, it only hurts the credibility of the masseuse.

when they were lying "just to get elected" and when they were telling the truth. When a Democrat said something that I did not like, I assumed his or her heart was in the right place but he or she needed to say that "just" to be elected; and when a Democrat said something I liked, I assumed he or she was telling the truth.

No more.

Say something racist and I am going to take you at your word.

Say something xenophobic and I am going to take you at your word

Say something homophobic and I am going to take you at your word.

Say something sexist and I am going to take you at your word.

Say something neo theo and I am going to take you at your word.

Say something patently unfair or hostile to the 99% and I am going to take you at your word.

Say something Republican and I am going to take you at your word.

Same goes for actions, but double.

Same goes for omissions, when any respectable Democrat would act or speak out.

area regarding human rights, for he casually and maliciously used my rights as fodder for his own advancement. Voting for him in 2004 was very painful indeed. It told me exactly what the Democratic Party thinks of my community.

When one has it, they sound strong, brave, fearless.

Granted The TeaParty Repubs sound Crazy with what they have chosen to be convinced in but, the courage of it comes through and that is what is attractive to people.

Its pretty easy, really, and that's one reason 20% of the electorate just "won" a popular vote.

That idiot McConnell said that they could repeal ObamaCare and NOT destroy the Kentucky exchange. It was a bald face lie.

Did the media point it out? Nope. Grimes wouldn't say she voted for Obama.

The gave McConnell a pass, and they crucified Grimes.

Oh ... and the average GOP voter does not mind their elected officials lying. They love it.

Lies told by reThugs are excusable and played down; but Lies told by Democrats are trumpeted around the world and the liar must be made to pay for it.

And Democrats still don't see why they need their own big media company? MSM is all beholden to the reThugs, if that is not yet clear to the Democratic leadership. Or maybe they want so too?
