IF people would bother to actually watch the campaign ads this year especially in VERY key battle ground state the Republican/528 ads preyed on peoples fears just like the republicans did after 9/11. ISIS is beheading Americans so we need to have strong leaders who won't let ISIS behead us here.


The ignorance factor is clear.... They used Ebola as a weapon. look on this board we have people who believe you can catch ebola just by sitting next to someone who was over in an effected country and even though they are not showing symptoms they are dangerous.


We have a nation that in general wants everything spoon feed. They don't want to have to think because they are busy worrying about reality TV celebrity.

As long as America acts out of fear and without a brain we will see these major victories

1. And of ALL the actual issues for which the folks are all for and Republicans are against, no airtime.

Even flicks of DU folks were sucked into the propaganda vortex, very disappointing.

The media sucked up all the airtime to discuss the fear both cons AND liberals had...not the CDC, scientists or the President, mind you, no fear there, just the science, but the FEAR evaporated all healthy debate in a campaign season, yes, it fucking did.

2. I was thinking about this and it seems

to me liberals would not be influenced by the ads. I think their purpose was to boost the Repub and independent turnout.
They are sort of buying votes.
Maybe there was not as strong an effort to boost Dem turnout. And I thing if Dems would have made ads showing Obama's record and saying that Dems will only do more of the same if elected it would have been better for us.
