When faced with a lessor evil and a greater evil is it really failure to only kill the lessor?

Yeah man, I know killing the greater evil is really where it's at.

But, somehow, it just seems like weeding out every little bit of evil is okay.

Why think voting for someone who voted to raise school district pay, but voted against increased taxation to make that pay increase possible is a good thing, because that person isn't "totally" against teacher's unions is a good thing?
