"Dr" Keith Ablow doubles down...

Yesterday the Associated Press reported on criticism of Ablow from other psychiatrists, including the past president of the American Psychiatric Association's statement that "it is shameful and unfortunate that he is given a platform by Fox News or any other media organization."

In his statement, Ablow responded that "As a psychiatrist, news commentator, and medical professional, my analysis is accurate. I stand by what I have said." He added that "Psychiatrists are uniquely situated to comment on political figures, and the interface of politics and psychology is improved by psychological analysis."

Ablow reiterated his remote psychoanalysis of President Obama, claiming, "it is readily apparent that a President who tours the world apologizing for America, who was part of a church in which the pastor preached 'God damn America!' and who admonished American entrepreneurs that they did not build their own businesses is a President who has issues with the nation of which he is President." His statement concludes, "My commentary is accurate, and I will continue to speak truth to power."

1. I want Ablow and Ernst and Gardner and Gohmert on TV as often as possible

I want average people who arent brain-dead to see what the teaparty and republicans are about.

And if said republicans are allowed to kill Women in back alleys or disenfranchise millions of Americans, then maybe Americans will respond appropriately

half-truths and lies? Why do they have to selectively edit speeches to make him look bad?

11. Krauthammer is also a psychiatrist

From 1975 to 1978, Krauthammer was a resident and then a chief resident in psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital. In 1984, he became board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. During his time as chief resident, he discovered a variant of manic depressive disease which he called "Secondary Mania." He also co-authored the path-finding study on the epidemiology of mania.

I don't know if he practices anymore, though.

Still, he said that he wants to see the GOTP "kill (Obamacare) with a thousand cuts."

As for Obamacare, a symbolic abolition that Obama will immediately veto is less important than multiple rapid-fire measures to kill it with a thousand cuts. Repeal of the medical device tax. Repeal of the individual mandate. Repeal of the employer mandate. Repeal of the coverage mandate, thereby reinstating Obama’s broken promise that “If you like your health-care plan, you can keep it.” And repeal the federal bailout for insurers on the Obamacare exchanges.

Never mind the fact that people for the first time have been able to get affordable mental-health care through the exchanges. No, Charlie Sauerkraut would rather they be left uncared for and freeze living homeless under bridges.

What is it about some "shrinks" that they, themselves, are certifiable?

9. Ironically, it's the "Goldwater rule" that says psychiatrists aren't supposed to do that

Because a bunch of psychiatrists did that on TV to Goldwater in the 60s.
