Gillespie Concedes

Republican Senate candidate Ed Gillespie on Friday conceded his bid to unseat Virginia Democrats Sen. Mark Warner, saying he knows “in my head and in my heart” that a recount will not change the results.

Gillespie earlier this week urged Virginians to be patient as the final tallying process was being conducted in the surprisingly close race. He indicated that he could ask for a recount if the vote differential remained close, but on Friday acknowledged the gap has only grown.

“I commended him on a hard-fought campaign and wish him and his family well. I am sure Ed Gillespie will continue to contribute to the debate in Virginia and the nation,” Warner said in a statement.

Not thrilled with Warner, but he's better than nothing...and this is why Landrieu has to win...keep the GOP MARGIN AS SMALL AS POSSIBLE FOR 2016!!!!!
