Bryan Fischer once again uses the Bible to justify genocide of Native Americans.

Talk about your racist swine...

Bryan Fischer Suggests Native Americans Were Justifiably Removed From Their Land

Submitted by Ian Silverstone on Friday, 11/7/2014 4:44 pm

On “Focal Point” today, host Bryan Fischer once again linked the supposed moral failings of Native Americans to the seizure of their land by European colonists. Fischer recounted the Biblical tale of the Amorites, a group that had “lapsed into superstition and paganism and idolatry and sexual immorality and savagery” until they were vanquished by the Israelites. He then paraphrased God as saying, “I’m going to be patient with the Amorite people for 400 years, and if they continue to sin at the rate they’re sinning, every time they sin they’re putting a little more slop in the slop bucket, and if they keep doing that the slop bucket’s going to get full, and I’m going to have to empty out that slop bucket.” Fischer then used the story to justify the violent expulsion of Native American people from their territory at the hands of white settlers. “This may even be a part of American history, when we think about the moral right for the nation and the peoples that God brought into this land to exercise sovereign control over the land,” he said. “Part of that equation may have to do with the immorality of those nations that were exercising sovereign control over this land at the time.”

....Satan.
In fact, it's even in the Bible that Satan can quote scripture for it's own ends, and to beware of wolves in sheep's clothing who will lead the flock astray.

Just saying.
Honestly I wish more Christians would loudly and publicly hold the so-called preacher types like this jerk up as tools of the Devil these assholes are trying to push, instead of saying "he's not a real Christian" and end up protecting the asshole while trying to protect their personal beliefs.

If there is a Creator of All, it is so very much bigger than the "god" people like Bryan Fischer are creating in their own image and trying to foist off on scared and lonely people using the Bible as a weapon.

I think believing in Satan is superstition. I feel religion is not a positive force in our society.

Christianity and Islam have Satan identified in their holy book, along with the various Angels and the like. (The Talmud and Torah do not have a Devil, but they do have demons.)

So, they would believe that Satan as something that would work against their God's plan - whether or not they would admit it publicly. Otherwise, they'd have to consider that they are actually agnostic (or Deist), which is too damn close to most Christians or Muslims to being an apostate (gasp!) atheist...

Monotheism has a distinct logical disadvantage in dealing with the World as it is. No demi-gods or little spirits to blame for the doctrinal inconsistencies that real life bring about, and you have to believe the "Word" in its entirety or suffer some form of damnation.

You start where the student is, then slowly get them to understand what you are presenting using their "language" and culture.

And yes, many people - especially Americans who are stressed out and over-stimulated - are "foolish" and don't make the optimal choices based in reality because they either don't have the capacity or the will to do so.

Reality - you can't convert a "true believer". They're found something that provides comfort, became addicted to it, and they've got to come to grips on their own.
Getting punched in the nose and cursed at because you refuse to deal with them at their level does not solve any of the problems fanaticism causes, nor does it "rescue" others who aren't sure or have questions. They just can't hear you. You aren't talking to them, you're talking above them.
And frankly, most of them don't want to understand. They want to feel. So you've got to get to them where they feel - otherwise, they'll just follow their charismatic "leaders" like Fischer and Robertson and Falwell and Cruz who tell them they're special, and they're doing the right thing, and they're all gonna go to heaven if they sacrifice and suffer really, really hard for the small, ill-tempered deity that Fischer et all created out of greed, fear, pride and some really, really nasty voices in their heads.

So yes, I'm "foolish".

I'm also not an insufferable prig, even though "I might know better". Over the years I've managed to bring back into "the real world" more than a dozen radical religious dupes who were wasting their lives and ruining their families waiting for Jayzus to come and take them home. It takes time and patience, and understanding their language and culture. Especially if you don't want to have your windows and tires shot out because you were somehow promoting blasphemy and attacking their true belief.
